PORTSMOUTH, NH, December 4, 2007—Whaleback Systems™ announced today the expansion of its CrystalBlue Voice service into the Southeast with the opening of a regional sales office in Atlanta, GA and named seasoned telecom sales executive Jim Fitzgerald as Regional Channel Manager for the region.

Whaleback also announced that telecommunications services company Phone Worx of Buford, GA and Canopy Communications of Lilburn, GA have joined its Partner Program—a comprehensive channel sales program for interconnect, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), network integrators and IT services companies—to accelerate the distribution of Whaleback’s CrystalBlue Voice Service to small and medium-sized businesses across the Peach State.
Whaleback is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and is the first and only company to deliver an end-to-end broadband business telephony service for Small and Medium Business (SMB) customers that features a managed premises-based IP PBX with key system functionality along with broadband-based telephony service infrastructure.

Jim Fitzgerald has more than 20 years of channel sales experience in the technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Whaleback, Fitzgerald served as Director of Sales, Wholesale Dealer Channel for Inter-Tel technologies. Before Inter-Tel, he held senior positions at Executone/Staples Communications and at MCI. Earlier in his career, Fitzgerald held sales positions at Mitel Inc., ITT and Xerox Corporation.
