PORTSMOUTH, NH, February 26, 2007—Whaleback Systems™ today announced that John Dion has joined the company as Vice President, Finance. He is responsible for finance, human resources and administration for Whaleback.

John brings to Whaleback extensive experience in high-growth technology companies and he has the financial insights and experiences that will help Whaleback continue our growth as a managed service provider that has a unique solution for the telephony needs of Small and Medium Businesses.”

Dion previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Spinwave Systems, Inc. Before that he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and held other senior level finance positions for Genesys Conferencing, Inc. He also served as Vice President of Finance for Vialog Corporation where he raised over $125 million in debt and equity, including the completion of an IPO. While at Vialog, Dion also completed nine acquisitions and helped to grow revenues from start-up to over $75 million in four years.

Prior to Vialog, Dion served in various finance and accounting management roles for DSC Communications Corporation (now Alcatel). He spent the early part of his career with Price Waterhouse. Dion is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from New Hampshire College.
