PORTSMOUTH, NH, February 5, 2007—Whaleback Systems™ today announced that Dave Zwicker has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing, responsible for market planning, branding, product marketing, marketing programs and press and analyst relations.
“Dave is a seasoned industry veteran with focused marketing experience that will help Whaleback crystallize our exciting market opportunity and further penetrate the Small and Medium Business (SMB) telephony market,” said Mark Galvin, Whaleback Founder, President and CEO. “He understands both customer requirements and carrier responsibilities, and rounds out Whaleback’s management team by bringing marketing expertise and market development insights that will help us continue to build the company and change the market for telephony services targeted to SMBs.”
Zwicker joined Whaleback from Viola Networks, where he was VP of Marketing for this Voice over IP (VoIP) network management solutions vendor. Previously, he was VP of Marketing for Adlex, an IT service delivery management software supplier to enterprises and service providers.
He has also served as VP of Product and Segment Marketing at 3Com Corporation, VP of Solutions Marketing at Enterasys Networks and VP of Marketing for Indus River Networks, a Virtual Private Networking start-up company. Zwicker has over 25 years of industry experience in software and system level solutions for both enterprise and service provider markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University.
