Mike Shaffer Named Lead Architect for Whaleback Systems

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - Whaleback Systems, a pioneering provider of IP business phone solutions for small and midsized businesses, announced Mike Shaffer has joined the company as lead architect.

Shaffer's engineering experience spans more than 25 years in the telecommunications industry. His expertise includes computer telephony, data communications, system architecture, and product development.

Most recently Shaffer served as senior director of project management at Brooktrout Technology where he managed the company's new product development. Shaffer has also led product technology, engineering and software development teams at high tech communications companies including Primary Rate Incorporated, Xircom and Netaccess, Inc. Shaffer holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
