Professional Services Firm Goes Remote with Whaleback Systems CrystalBlue Voice Service

Whaleback Managed Business VoIP Service Helps MD Solutions Mobilize and Boost Productivity at Home and on the Road

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., January 27, 2010—Whaleback Systems™ today announced that MD Solutions LLC, a leading provider of professional services for the Advent Software platform and back office services for Axys and Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), has deployed its managed business VoIP solution to enable employees to work remotely and to take advantage of a host of new features that its old telephone system did not offer.

Based in Ft. Myers, Fla., MD Solutions is using Whaleback’s CrystalBlue Voice managed service with roughly a dozen handsets, four of which are HD voice enabled. Prior to choosing Whaleback, MD Solutions piggybacked off of a legacy PBX phone system that was used throughout the office building. While the system was reliable for voice calls, it offered no additional features. Additionally, service, support and troubleshooting were a challenge.

With CrystalBlue Voice, MD Solutions is able to have voicemail sent to email boxes, retrieve messages from virtually anywhere, use softphones and give employees phones for both the office and their homes with the same functionality. This is done through Whaleback’s Road Warrior functionality that lets employees gain remote access to the company phone network regardless of location or time. The Road Warrior remote worker feature streaminlines communications and boosts productivity by connecting co-workers and customers irrespective of location, network or endpoint device.

The Whaleback system is also “self-supporting,” meaning Whaleback offers end-to-end support and MD Solutions does not have to wait for a service call when there is an issue.
